Socrates was the first recorded, but by no means the last person, to acknowledge that we do not know as much as we think we do and that when you recognize this, only then can you begin to learn. As a passionate educator, I believe in this way of thinking and take delight, and great satisfaction in providing people the opportunity to expand their knowledge so they can begin to grasp just how much information is out there.
Immedis is on a mission to make global payroll a seamless, touchless process. The Immedis Platform is designed to deliver on this objective. This makes for a great start. However, we are discovering that if the people using our technology are not fully aware of its capabilities, we may not realize this goal. With this in mind, Immedis decided to provide a way for customers and employees to understand and unleash the platform’s power fully.
This is where I come in. I joined Immedis with the specific task of building a truly immersive and engaging learning experience. I bring over thirty years of practice as both an instructor and as a trainer for other instructors and have worked for companies both large and small. Since coming on board with Immedis recently, working extensively with the Immedis product team and operations, I have built a training program that will ensure those who successfully complete a course are on the right path to gain a deep understanding of the platform and then use it to drive optimum performance.
Welcome to The Immedis Academy.
First off, I want to say that the Immedis Academy is open to everyone- customers, employees, and our in-country partners. I will be happy when everyone can or does become an Immedis expert and understands our global payroll platform in a previously unimaginable way.
The Immedis Academy is available 24/7. To access the Immedis Academy, contact your customer engagement partner to ensure your account is made active. Once your account is active, you can access the academy at any time. Just look for the link under the question mark icon on the Immedis Platform.
Once you open the portal, you will see the below screenshot. Then it is simply a matter of getting started or picking you from where you last left off.
What courses are on The Immedis Academy?
Currently, we offer a comprehensive certification program, New Customer Portal UI 20200. It is broken down into just over 30 modules covering topics such as perpetual validation, variable inputs and absences, analytics, and front-end configuration changes.
Individuals can progress through each module at their own pace and when convenient.
Given everyone is working and has a host of other responsibilities, the course is designed to fit into hectic schedules. The content is presented in bite-sized interactions, and learners can pick up where they left off allowing them to progress at the time and pace that best suits them.
What experience can participants expect from the Learning Academy?
We want to engage each participant in the learning. In addition to hands-on activities, we include a series of exercises to reinforce concepts and techniques demonstrated during a particular course. There are simulations, crosswords, learning guides- which can be downloaded- and of course, assessments. After each quiz, we provide immediate scoring and feedback. Again, the goal here is to reinforce the learning to ensure understanding and engagement. There are also written assignments which I will review each and provide feedback on.
To assist learners, there is an Ask the Instructor button, so at any point, during the course, a learner can reach out to me for either clarification or discuss a query. There is also a guide to using the academy with step by step instructions throughout the course. I want to make this as user-friendly as possible so people can concentrate on the content and not waste time trying to figure out how to use it.
When all modules are completed, and the participant passes the final online exam, they will receive a certification and badges they can share on their LinkedIn profile.
How managers can use the Immedis Academy
Not only is it a great training tool, but we also want to give managers a way to follow and track the progress of their team. There is immediate feedback through the system which gives project managers, customer engagement partners, and others (at the request of any customer) insight into how each employee is doing and help if they encounter problems.
Why learner feedback is important to us
As with all good learning opportunities, we see the Immedis Academy as an evolving, agile entity. We want to hear from learners, so we ask that participants complete our feedback questionnaires. This way, we can confirm what we are doing right and identify where any areas for improvement.
