Investment Projects to Create More Jobs
The Cambodian government has approved 195 new investment projects and 43 expansion requests to create 150,000 new jobs. Cambodia aims to change its employment structure from labor-intensive to a skill-based labor industry by 2025.
Government Plans Additional $250 Million Support for SMEs
The government plans to provide US$250 million through the state-run SME bank under the co-financing scheme to support the SME sector.
Monthly Minimum Wage for Textile, Garment, and Footwear Workers Raised
From 1 January 2022, the monthly minimum wage for workers in the textile, garment, and footwear sectors will be increased to US$194.
