Italy: Extension and Expansion of Compulsory Leave for Employed Fathers

For 2021, compulsory leave, also known as paternity leave, has been extended for employed fathers to 10 days for children born in 2021.

The time can be used during the first 5 months of the baby’s life, or in a case of national or international adoption/fostering of a minor, when the child enters the family or Italy.
