Working Hours

Termination
- Termination Process
Employers must provide reasonable cause for terminating an employee’s contract.

- Severance Pay
Where severance pay is required (redundancy or retirement), the following rates will apply:
- More than 1 year but less than 5 = 2 weeks’ pay for each year of service
- More than 5 years = 3 weeks’ pay for each year of service
- Probation Period

Visa

Most foreign nationals don’t need a visa to travel to Trinidad and Tobago for short visits. However, they’ll need to obtain a work permit to stay for more than three months.
