Immedis recently announced a partnership with Kilmacud Crokes juvenile football committee to create unique sponsorship opportunities that will deliver ongoing benefits to the club and to the next generation of players coming through. Adrian Morrissey, Commercial Director, EMEA at Immedis will serve as the principal liaison with Kilmacud Crokes.

Adrian said it best when asked about the partnership: “We are so excited to be involved with one of the most successful teams in Ireland. One of our key values in Immedis is that we empower our employees, their teams and our partners to be the best they can be. Immedis will approach this partnership in the same way to support Kilmacud Crokes’ key initiatives over the coming years.”

The core company value Adrian is referring to is One Team, one of four company values that also include, Innovation, Respect, and Passion. These values guide all of Immedis’ actions and they encompass why Immedis partners with athletic organizations and athletes to learn, give back to our communities and to constantly strive to be the best we can be for our customers, our customers employees, our partners, our teams and Immedis employees. The spirit of sport is all about teamwork, collaboration, striving to improve performance, and perhaps most importantly of all, to have fun in the excitement and the passion of playing well for yourself and for your team.

Supporting sports and athletes in our communities

Immedis’ passion for sport and the personal and community values that motivate individuals and teams to hone their athletic learning and training dates nearly back to the start of the company. In 2017, Immedis signed Irish pro golfer Shane Lowry as a Global Brand Ambassador. Fellow pro golfer Stephanie Meadow has also served as Global Brand Ambassador since 2020. Both golfers recently partnered with Immedis to raise visibility for First Tee at the U.S. Open Golf Tournaments. First Tee is an international youth development organization that teaches life skills and helps kids and teens build their strength of character through golf.

Immedis and Shane Lowry have also supported the 20x20 movement in Ireland. 20×20 is about creating a cultural shift in our perception of girls and women in sport. Their mission is to create a more inclusive, healthier Ireland – it’s not a ‘women for women’ initiative; it’s ‘all of society for all of society’. Immedis promoted a “Show Your Stripes” campaign, encouraging individuals to pledge one small action to support women and girls in sport and physical activity in Ireland.

Supporting our employees

Immedis believes many parallels can be drawn between business and sport. The commitment, focus, passion, and dedication that athletes show to their sport is very relatable to the culture we have built in Immedis.

We have looked to leverage these parallels by weaving sport into our online CEO sessions for our community of employees across the globe. Immedis started these sessions during the pandemic to support employee engagement, a practice we plan to continue as the employee response has been extremely positive. We call these sessions, “Ruari’s Stories,” named after Ruairi Kelleher, our CEO. Immedis frequently invites external speakers to engage in a Q&A with Ruairi on topics such as wellness, teamwork and collaboration. Shane Lowry and Stephanie Meadow led sessions on mental resilience, providing examples from the game of golf that can be applied to our daily lives.

Ruairi’s Stories has also featured Bernard Brogan, a well-known sports star in Ireland and one of the founders of PepTalk, a team culture and action platform designed specifically for the hybrid work environment. Bernard led the Immedis team in a session focused on employee wellbeing and building a supportive company culture, especially during these challenging times.

Ronan O’Gara, a rugby coach and former star player with the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) team, joined Immedis for a humorous and instructive conversation with Ruairi. Ronan shared stories about teamwork, collaboration and innovation from his experiences as both a player and a coach. Ronan and Ruairi drew parallels to Immedis’ values, our culture and team development – how to harness your best talent to inspire others while providing the tools and support needed to improve performance at all levels of the organization. Not everyone can be or should be a superstar.

Ultimately, it’s the entire team with varying levels of talent working as a unit to the best of their abilities that consistently delivers the best result.

It’s a team sport – how you can participate

Here at Immedis we’re excited about the continuous learning we gain from our Brand Ambassadors, the inspiring athletes, and the sports-centered organizations we partner with to support their mission. Immedis is committed to continuing this work to support the spirit of sport and all the good it can bring to individuals and to communities.

We’d love to hear about athletic and sports organizations that you admire and that do good work in your communities. Please share in comments so Immedis can learn more about what they do.
